Maple fret board and neck

double truss rod

1 3/4″ thick body

Here are some of the steps.

Printed the full template.

With all the details for the pickup position, but since I had a double humbucker for the bridge I made the hole bigger.

Here is the official size template.

Glued the body

After cutting out the body I cleaned and routed out the sides and holes for the components.

Here it is after cleaning out the holes.

After marking and cutting the fret position I cleaned the outside shape of the neck and installed the double truss rod that I had grooved before when the neck was still rectangular.

Glued the fret board using 2 short nail to line it up into position.

Shaped the back neck in a C shape since I had a thicker truss rod.

Sanded the radius of 9.5″ on the fret board.

made the position marks.

testing the frets.

Sanding the body for the finish paint.

sanding again…

After several coats I got a really nice finish.

testing the final assembling

assembling the components and bridge.

Here is the final result. I was surprised of the look and the sound that came out of it.
