Cigar Box Guitar

After watching tones of videos on YouTube I found this interesting instrument with 3 string. They are mostly made with a cigar box. So I decided to go a head and work on some new technics like frets, scale ect…
After some research on these CBG, I decided to use oak wood for the neck and added maple for the ears on the head stock.

Found a nice wooden box for my CBG, just had to make it thinner.
Cut out the box to receive the neck.

Stained the maple ears on the neck and the maple fret board.
After calculating the frets positions I cut the fret board. Then I installed the frets.

Got some nice tuner keys and installed them.
Found the perfect plate for the sound hole, and made the hole for the pickup.

Shaped the neck on a D shape to make it stronger since these CBG don’t have a truss rod.
Added some F holes for the look and the sound.
