Jaguar Bass

Jaguar Bass Fender Style

34″ scale PJ Pickups

Maple body and neck.

I started by making my templates.

Once the templates done I had my official size.

Laminated my pieces of maple for the body.

Cut out the body and cleaned it with the router.

After making the truss rod groove I cleaned the shape with the router using the router.

I prepared the fret board.

I glued the fret board and cleaned the sides with the router.

Then I shaped the back of the neck.

Drilled the neck pocket.

Used the router to finish the neck pocket.

Sanded and shaped the body.

We can see from the side, the shapes.

Made the radius on the fret board at 9.5″

Making the mother of pearl inlays.

It took some calculations but I got the sizes right.

Installed the frets.

Grooved out the holes for the components.

Made the pickguard and tested it.

Testing the pickguard parts.

I received my pickups (from Epic Custom Pickups) .

Wiring the components and testing.

Final assembling before I do the paint finish and Tru Oil.

After 6 coats of paint…

Got my pick-guard custom painted to go with the fret-board and body color…

Assembling the parts.

Oiling the neck with Tru Oil.

Here is my final result. Looks great and sounds great too. Hope you enjoyed.
